The New Halema'uma'u Crater - a photo on Flickriver

            Halema'uma'u Crater in Volcanoes National Park has grown substantially this year with the re-routing of lava from Kilauea summit to the lower Puna eruption. Volcanoes National Park has re-opened now that the eruption and earthquakes have stopped. This photo does not do justice how massive the crater is. On the right side of the image, you can see how small Jagger Museum looks compared to the crater wall.
