Dreaming in bokeh

            One of several beautiful common queen wasps I have found tucked up for winter in our log pile. I love how they hang upside-down, clasping the wood with their mandibles, and their antennae and wings all tucked underneath. Photographed with my Laowa macro probe lens; and then carefully placed back in the wood pile, with her wood marked 'BzzzzBzzzz' (for 'a wasp sleeps here'), so we don't disturb her again. (Surprised I got away with this, handheld at 1/6.)
