03-18-05 The Waves - 9... where I was a year ago

            A year ago today (03-18-05)  I was on the Arizona - Utah border at the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.

This particular location is called "Coyote's Butte - norther unit", or more commonly know at "the waves".  To hike here, a special permit is required from the BLM, and only 20 permits are issued a day!

The only way I can think to describe this place is.... its as if someone sliced into the earth and exposed the earth's heart and vain.

I usually try to avoid posting old photos, but I did a "tag" search on this place and not a whole lot came up.... so here are two more of mine.
