AMANITA PHALLOIDES oronja verde - a photo on Flickriver

            Sombrero de 5-15cms., de color variable típicamente amarillo-verdoso, pero a veces casi blanco. Más oscuro en el centro. Láminas blancas o con ligeros reflejos amarillo-verdosos. Pie blanco o con bandas jaspeadas verdosas. Anillo blanco membranoso y estriado que puede ser arrastrado por la lluvia. Volva membranosa, como un saco libre en el borde.

Carne blanca y fibrosa, con olor agradable en ejemplares jóvenes y fétido en la madurez. Sabor dulzaino. Micorrizógena muy común y abundante en bosques planifolios y menos abundante entre coníferas.

MORTAL. Causa el 90% de las muertes por setas en España. Se puede confundir con rúsuslas verdosas comestibles, con alguna lepiota, agáricos y otras amanitas------------------------Cap 5-15cms., variable color typically greenish-yellow, but sometimes almost white. Darker in the center. White sheets or with slight yellow-green reflections. White foot or with greenish variegated bands. White membranous and striated ring that can be washed away by rain. Back membranous, like a free sac at the edge.

White and fibrous flesh, with a pleasant smell in young specimens and fetid when mature. Sweet flavor. Mycorrhizal very common and abundant in planifolia forests and less abundant among conifers.

MORTAL. It causes 90% of deaths from mushrooms in Spain. It can be confused with edible greenish russuslas, with some lepiota, agarics and other amanitas
