Notes: Schwabe was a member of the Amateur Photographic Association, a group formed in 1861 as an exchange club in which each member contributed six negatives and a small cash amount and would receive in return a selection of prints from the other member's contributions which were then put into an album. View of a man seated beside a country stream. Mounted on period folio sheet approx. 13.5 x 20 inches (34x51 cm), titled at bottom in pencil "Dovedale Derbyshire, Prize 1870 / F. S. Schwabe Esq." .
