 Special: 
- Enzo Ferrari founded Auto Avio Costruzioni in Modena in 1939 out of Alfa Romeo's race division, and the new company built its first car in 1940.
- In 1960 the name changed in SEFAC (Società Esercizio Fabbriche Automobili e Corse), to be named Ferrari S.p.A. in 1965.
- Auto Costruzioni Ferrari in Maranello bult the first Ferrari-badged car in 1947: the 125 S.
-  The official symbol is an pony, derived from the one used by Italian aviator Francesco Baracca (1888-1918) during World War One.
- The 275 GTS (or 275 GT Spider) was designed at the request of the American Ferrari importer as successor to the 250GT SWB California at the North American market.
- The handling for daily use was much better than its predecessor (inter alia,a higher rear axle ratio), but missed the beautiful smooth lines.
- In fact, it looks more an open Convertible execution of the 330 GTC but without the longer 275 GTB nose.
- This very luxury car (luxurious interior with wood veneer dashboard), fully adjustable bucket seats (Connolly leather hides), was designed and built by Carozzeria Pininfarina S.p.A., Cambiano - Italy, at first shown at the 1964 Paris Motor Show.
- The 275 GTS was Ferrari's first-ever road car equipped with fully independent suspension.
- This Sports Car with chassis number *6865” was sold to Chinetti New York in 1965 in original “Bianco” (is now “Rosso”) and had 3 American owners, before it was sold (now) in Europe.
