Serenity in red

Next to San Jose is a small town called Alviso, located at the San Francisco Bay in California. We went to the Alviso Marina County Park before sunrise to take photos of the colorful and calm salt ponds. Salt ponds range from blue green to deep magenta – colored naturally by the microorganisms that thrive as salinity levels increase from evaporation. Three microorganisms in particular, Synechococcus, Halobacteria, and Dunaliella, influence the color of salt ponds. Three Chinese women in red dress had fun posing and taking photos of each other.

I processed a balanced and a realistic HDR photo from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
