An area of outstanding natural beauty

            As you go along the A55 North Wales Expressway you reach Rhuallt Hill, with a steep descent towards St Asaph which provides the first views of the mountains of Snowdonia in the far distance. There is a whacking big sign by the roadside that says, " Area of outstanding natural beauty". Do we need to be told that something is beautiful? Aren't we allowed an opinion? Can't we be left to spontaneously say, "Wow, isn't that beautiful?" when it looks stunning and left in miserable silence when the car is at risk of aquaplaning and floundering in torrents of spray at 40mph on an all too frequently wet day in North Wales? Besides, the massive sign saying "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" completely pollutes the view! Any how Conwy/Conway did look outstandingly beautiful early this morning. Just like they told us it would be.
