            March 5, 2024 - Perugia, Italy - day 12.  We spent Tuesday wandering around the fortified hilltop town of Perugia, where much of the town  dates back to 2,000-3,000 BC.  The old town on the hilltop is relatively small and lends itself to wandering among the narrow winding passageways, occassionally coming upon a historic location or fantastic view. - Piazza IV Novembre with the Fontana Maggiore and the Perugia Cathedral (Cattedrale Metropolitana di San Lorenzo) or the Palazzo dei Priori containing the National Gallery (Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria) - depending on the angle.
