To the End of the Ocean - a photo on Flickriver

            What happens when you get there, anyway?

On our stop at Grand Turk, not far from where the cruise ship was docked, we found this new dock under construction. It smelled of fresh treated lumber and made me wonder just what it must take to garner the materials to build such things on small islands. 

We've been to this island three times now, as it is a common port of call amongst Caribbean cruises by Carnival. To my husband and I, It never has been called our favorite island - perhaps because there isn't much to do there or maybe we had taken it for granted. However, when I pull up the vacation photos after returning home, I always find the most interesting and pretty pictures from Grand Turk. 

I imagine that one day the island may appear differently as more things are added for tourism. Hopefully the island won't lose its charm and beauty because of it.
