The bull that nearly killed me - a photo on Flickriver

            I thought it would be a good idea to go out and take some pictures of the sunset. But you always need something else - something interesting - to get a good picture. Colored clouds usually aren't enough. So when I saw this bull in a field I knew I wanted it in the picture. I did several takes, but wasn't too happy with the results. It was clear I should approach it more closely to get its impressive shape more central. And so I carefully and slowly approached the bull, put the camera as low as possible and took the picture. Up till then the bull had shown no interest in my presence, but that suddenly changed. It began to sway its head with its long and dangerous horns, and started to charge. There were only about three meters between me and the bull so I had to react instantly. Closer to thruth - my body did what it had to do: run like hell, and only afterwards could I claim to have done the only right thing. Save my ass.

I did not leave the camera behind, and here we are - a bull, and the light of the setting sun.

Never again.
