Bugle - a photo on Flickriver

Bugle

            Erick's bugle sits on the windowsill at home. In addition to tuba he's now learning the bugle so he can wake up the other boys on Boy Scout camping trips as the Troop bugler.

I'm surprised at how much I like the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) on my new OM-D E-M5. In addition to giving me a magnified view for quick manual focus, I can set it to black and white mode, which makes it much easier to find and compose good monochrome shots.

This was taken using my old Four Thirds Panasonic/Leica 25mm f/1.4 with a Four Thirds to Micro Four Thirds adapter. The autofocus is noticeably slower with these lenses than it was on the E-620, but it's perfectly usable for slow moving or stationary subjects. The ease of manual focusing with the EVF is also a great help with these older lenses.
