“Hang up the Swing of Love Today: Hang the Body and the Mind Between the Arms of the Beloved” – Kabir

            The daughter of a mighty king
Returns each night to her garden swing
Lets all her cares erase away
To enter there in lover’s play
Slowly from an empty sky
Endless flowers catch her eye
Each one opens in full bloom
Alive and fragrance filled perfume
Swinging now her soaring heart
Hears a song within her start
A song of Love that conquers all
The princess feels a distant call
In ecstasy and melody
Swinging there so happily
Each precious note a flower sends
Her Beloved’s music never ends
When at last in fading night
The morning bows before the light
She soars again each day anew
Soaked with dreams and drops of dew

Kabir wrote this first line to his poem over 600 years ago and every time I sing or say it, I feel so many feelings wash over me.  This posting is dedicated to the romance that his most exquisite poetry still sparks in me today.
