The Coming Storm

            The ferry ride was way more fun than the island visit!

Bequia is a nice place to visit but our time was up and we were heading back toward St. Vincent.  There had been showers off and on during the day but they passed quickly and cooled things down a bit.  

As we were leaving Bequia we could see the clouds starting to build behind us and they were looking pretty angry.  Had people known what they had in store for us they would've gone below deck long before they got to us!

As I've said before this was the rainiest, wettest cruise we've ever been on and Bequia was no exception.  We did get lucky in that the storms held off for most of the day while St. Vincent got a royal pounding from the rain gods!  The rain finally did catch up with us though as you'll see in the shots that follow.

Because of the rain I decided not to bring out my Canon and instead opted for my Panasonic DMC-TS1 pocket camera.  It takes a decent shot and is waterproof, a feature that worked out well for this day.  It's also case hardened a bit so if you drop it (and I have) it's just like a TImex and keeps on ticking!

PS:
For those in the Show Your EXIF group you should note that the actual lens used is a Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II VC All-in-One Zoom for Canon APS-C Digital SLR.  For some crazy reason it always shows up as a Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8, a lens I've never owned or used!
