Al fondo Isla Grosa y el islote El Farallón - In the background Isla Grosa and the islet El Farallón

                Desde la playa de Cabo Palos,llena de barcos y pedalos,se puede divisar Isla Grosa, en el mar Mediterráneo y al este de la isla se sitúa un islote,denominado El Farallón.
La isla Grosa y el islote del Farallón, al igual que las islas del Mar Menor, son restos del vulcanismo cuaternario que tuvo lugar en toda la zona del Campo de Cartagena hace entre 7,2 y 6,6 millones de años, durante el mioceno.

From the beach of Cabo Palos, full of boats and pedalos, you can see Isla Grosa, in the Mediterranean Sea and east of the island is located an islet, called El Farallón.The island of Grosa and the islet of Farallón, like the islands of the Mar Menor, are remnants of the quaternary volcanism that took place throughout the area of Campo de Cartagena between 7.2 and 6.6 million years ago, during the Miocene.
