2005 - Shuttle tanker "Stena Natalita" during pumping of crude oil from a FPSO.

            One of our Artemis MK4 systems, doing a good job by keeping the tanker in her assigned envelope during pumping of crude oil at high sea.

The (fix) Artemis unit in the front, with its omni directional antenna, communicates via telemetry with another (mobile) Artemis unit, having a directional antenna, on the Stena Natalita.

As soon as the mobile unit discovers a slight shift of the dynamic position of the tanker by wind or drag, it gives, via a special software program, the command to the tanker's electrical manoeuvring thrusters and engine driven controllable pitch propellers to act.

That way the tanker is held at its former position, way within the pre-assigned envelope, thus avoiding collision and keeping the slack in the hose so it wo'nt burst or snap.
