The setup — December 2013

I realised I haven't uploaded any photo update of my setup since February 2010, so here's a fresh glimpse.

The split view is because my current desk configuration is the combination of three desks in a single line, instead of the 'L' setup visible in past photos. This is more difficult to shoot (and I don't like panorama shots).

For practical reasons, I've left out the leftmost desk (the 'vintage corner'), which now hosts a Power Macintosh 9500/132 connected to a 17" CRT Belinea monitor, an Apple Standard Keyboard model M0116 and a Kensington Turbo Mouse).

My main workstation is pictured in the lower half of the picture:

- Mid-2009 MacBook Pro (2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive).
- A current version of the aluminium Apple USB Keyboard with Numeric Keypad.
- Magic Mouse.
- 22" LG Flatron W2243S matte display (1920×1080).

On the upper half of the picture you can see what's on the left of my main machine:

- Power Mac G4 Cube (450 MHz, 1.5 GB RAM, 60 GB hard drive, CD/DVD-ROM drive).
- 22" acrylic Apple Cinema Display (model M8149).
- Aluminium Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mighty Mouse.

The Cube is an essential part of my setup. Very useful at displaying information and when I need to have an eye on multiple documents I'm dealing with. (Screen real estate is never enough!) Also, now that the optical drive in my MacBook Pro is dead, I usually watch DVDs on the Cube.

"View on Flickriver" Greasemonkey script

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.

While viewing any Flickr photos page, click on the bookmarklet to open the same view on Flickriver.
