Phoenix of Lebanon: Firebird Rising - a photo on Flickriver

            Behold the stunning Phoenix of Lebanon, born again in an awesome blaze of angular verticality.

The sharp pointed wings lance up to the heavens, chest bearing the Cedar of Lebanon, tail aflame and terminating in a diamond pendulum.

This beautiful iconic emblem was built from the ground up on a blank canvas using no refences whatsoever other than the images in my own imagination.

I am of Lebanese decent through my grandmother, and seeing that Lebanon, the birthplace of the Phoenix legend, did not have a worthy rendition of this bird in art form, took it upon myself to create this piece as a contribution to the nation.

I have also submitted an alternate white Firebird Blazing emblem edition of this piece.
