All Eyes on Yeovil Junction - a photo on Flickriver

An immaculate 47816 is the centre of attention at Yeovil Junction while the driver collects the single line token for the section to Yeovil Pen Mill, on 13th November 1990.

By the 1990s, the survival of signalling gantries as seen here was unusual. The gantry carries three ex-LSWR lattice post semaphores, operated by the adjacent Yeovil Junction signal box. Yeovil Junction was resignalled in 2012 and the 1908-built signal box was demolished.
