Playing indoors with oil and water - 1

I have seen oil on water photos several times over the years and was always impressed with the great abstract designs and the last time I tried to do this I had far too many air bubbles. So this week I tried again after seeing some awesome shots by Mandy Disher. ( www.flickr.com/photos/28412635@N08/24565483505/in/datepos...) I tried adding oil to water and took lots of photos, then tried adding a bit of dish soap to see how that compared. Added too much soap and bubbles all broke up too tiny and kept changing the mixture. Got lots of pretty colors from a piece of colorful gift wrap placed about 8 inches below my glass pan of water with oil, but not everything was as sharp as I would like. Sharing these for their pretty colors and challenging you to spend the next rainy indoor day playing in your kitchen. :-)
