I spent all day talking to you in my head. I had to run art errands in Soho and couldn't stop the conversation in my head. I panicked slightly at the idea that you we're going away for a few days and that we couldn't continue our correspondence. I also thought that I didn't want to go to New York for fear of interrupting our dialogue. I know it's sick but what can I say. My head was revolving at such a speed, and it was somewhat frustrating that I couldn't keep pace with the notions that were presenting themselves. I also didn't have the wherewithal to make a record on the move. I really do not want to waste any more time. A strange thing has happened to me over the last year. I have become very fearful. I'm now afraid of flying and often feel threatened on the streets. This amazes me, as you must know how fearless I was on the streets of New York. I've come to think that I now am very conscious of having something to do and worry that I might not manage to finish it. The stuff we talk about in our correspondence is the subject about which I want to speak. I suspect we might be able to clarify things somewhat for each other. Rack, it's time to write and make a record. Let's forget about literature and art and just try to be truthful.
I'm not going to fumble on. Don't go away if you don't want to. Write to me instead.
