I am also loving this awful app, and the 'hideous' images it makes

            I love what it does to body parts, mostly fingers. It sort of refuses to do dicks, it's a tad censorial, hello USA, moral majority, and all that palaver. Maybe a 'paid' version gets around censorship, I don't even know if there is one yet, but I like this free thing, this universal availability. It's just about the words you use.

I like that it makes paintings that feel like they could be actual paintings, but something is amiss, like twenty fingers, or lace underwear on Shakespeare, or 'goat-person' juggling offal. I love the randomness of it, and that anyone can do it, with words and phrases, its egalitarianism. The 'random' of 'random generator' is Duchamp run gloriously amok, at last.

Try ‘Zurbaran’ and ‘Rack of Lamb’ with his ‘Agnus Dei’ and the fun begins. 200 images later, you might get what you want. Then you can manipulate the bejaysus out of it. Contrived I know, but it is at the beginning of being a new medium, a new tool, like photography was in the 19th century, when it was declared that it would destroy the art of painting. I love its apparent soullessness and find some of its fingers and eyes to be emotionally moving, 'completely' computer generated, like the ghost in the works.

Perhaps, as an atheist, I hold 'ghost' and 'soul' to be interchangeable.
