A pole line along the former B&O Railroad (Ohio & Mississippi RR) that runs through southern Indiana between St Louis, Missouri and Cincinnati, Ohio.

The communication circuits of telegraph and telephone are long gone, but still in use are the signaling circuits for code, and a 440 volt power circuit used for power on the various signal apparatuses.

Never did find any good insulators, but back in the late 60's and early 70's they were good finds at that time. Since our family used to camp at Starve-Hollow State Recreation Area nearby, my dad would take me to this railroad to hunt for the insulators. If only I had a decent camera back then. 

This shot was taken just west of Medora, Indiana with lots of  gondolas parked in the siding.
