An Austro - Hungarian minesweeper from the Great War taken by Italy as compensation at the end of war.
In 1991 when the boat was 100 years old it was bought by a local politician and seems to have been used as a status symbol and was offered free of use to locals as a wedding venue.
In 2009 the government official was arrested live on tv for corruption and Zia Lalla was seized as proceeds but has been left abandoned ever since not allowing conservation or scrap as no one actually owns her.
Hopefully something can be sorted out as shes a fine old girl that could do with a clean up.
