1/100: Before and After Heart Surgery

            Both images are 366s, August 15 and 16.

The first is a reflected self-portrait taken in a public restroom at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.  I was on my way up to have what I thought would be a 3-way heart bypass.

The second is a self-portrait taken in whatever it is they call the post-heart-surgery ICU.  I had come out of the anesthetic less than 12 hours earlier. had just been sat up in a chair to await my surgeon's early-morning rounds ... and by God I'm SMILING.  I didn't yet know that I'd actually had a quadruple bypass, not a triple.  My surgeon found out that one artery had 2 blockages ... oh my.

I continue on the road to recovery, nearly 6 months out.

This is my entry for theme #84 - Before and After for 112 Pictures in 2012.  I think it's the best one in the whole thread.  Neener.
