che le correnti le trascinino via con troppa violenza.
Conosco delle barche che arrugginiscono in porto
per non aver mai rischiato una vela fuori.
Conosco delle barche talmente incatenate
che hanno disimparato come liberarsi.
Conosco delle barche che vanno in gruppo
ad affrontare il vento forte al di là della paura.

che non hanno mai smesso di uscire una volta ancora,
ogni giorno della loro vita
e che non hanno paura a volte di lanciarsi
fianco a fianco in avanti a rischio di affondare.
Conosco delle barche
che tornano in porto lacerate dappertutto,
ma più coraggiose e più forti.

Conosco delle barche
che tornano sempre quando hanno navigato.
Fino al loro ultimo giorno,
e sono pronte a spiegare le loro ali di giganti
perché hanno un cuore a misura di oceano.

that remain in the harbor for fear 
the current drag away with too much violence. 
I know boats rusting in port 
not to risk a sail out.

who have forgotten how to get rid of. 
I know the boats which go with other boats 
to face the strong wind beyond the fear.

who never stopped going out once again, 
every day of their lives 
and who are not afraid to throw at times 
side by side forward at risk of sinking.

returning to port torn everywhere, 
but the bravest and strongest.

that they always come back when they sailed. 
Until their last day, 
and are ready to spread their wings of giants 
because they have a heart to measure ocean.
