London bus liveries of the 1990s and 1970s meet in West Sussex

Another view of Carl English's privately preserved RM 1822 alongside Robbie Dale's privately preserved RM 2037 inside the barn in West Sussex with both vehicles displaying their route blinds for route 159 albeit with RM 1822 carrying a set of Day-Glo yellow-on-black blinds as applied between 1995 and 2005 with RM 2037 alongside displaying the older set of white-on-black route 159 route blinds as applied in the late 1980s prior to the route being curtailed to terminate at Baker Street from March 1992. I personally was never a fan of the Day-Glo route blinds on London's buses in the 1990s and early 2000s as after a long period of time the numbers and letters on the blinds would eventually fade to white in long periods of sunshine! That and the fact that the fluorescent yellow characters printed on the route blinds clashed with the smart and attractive red & cream livery applied on this fleet of South London RMs allocated on route 159 between 1994 and 1997.
