RTL 1427 at Old Steine, Brighton - a photo on Flickriver

            By then owned by the Purley Transport Society, former London Transport Leyland RTL 1427 makes for an impressive sight parked at the bus standing area at Old Steine in Brighton with its classic roofbox body and its London Transport red livery with the cream upper deck window surrounds as applied to the batch of RTs and RTLs built for London Transport between 1947 and 1951. For some reason the bland style of Leyland radiator never seemed to feel at home on the RTL and RTW classes of vehicles whereas the classic AEC radiator as fitted to the standard RTs finished the look of these vehicles off perfectly.
