Chris the Redeemer. - a photo on Flickriver

            Probably the best known attraction in Rio. The Christ the Redeemer statue dates back to 1931. It is huge, standing at 98 feet tall with an arm span of 92 feet. Add to that its stand out location overlooking the city of Rio and of course the great religious connection, this statue sees a non stop deluge of tourists and pilgrims.
