Waterloo Place
Waterloo Place is a square located in St James's, a central district in the City of Westminster. Rectangular, almost perfectly symmetrical, the square is located in the extension of Regent Street and extends about 160 meters to reach Carlton House Terrace. Crossed at one-third of its length by Pall Mall, it is divided in two places of different styles and uses. The northern part includes various luxury establishments; to the south rise, on both sides of the square, two neoclassical buildings: the Athenaeum Club and the Institute of Directors. The space between the two buildings served for a long time as parking. The southern flanks of the square are the former gardens of Carlton House, now Waterloo Gardens.
