LEGO: Satin trans-clear molds - a photo on Flickriver

            Out for a while, the new color Satin trans-clear can be bought in sets in several different parts.

Here are two different molds for the 2x4 brick, the left one can be bought in sets.
It has a new number, instead of the regular 3001 designation for a 2x4 brick, this one has design ID 3556.
The right one with the cross supports comes from the LEGOland parks and some turned up at New York LEGOLAND DISCOVERY CENTER.during an adult night, see comment from BrickBubbles below.
These are so called Q elements, not supposed to be available for the general public.

At first it was presumed we get the modern 3001 in sets, but they went with the “older” mold with thicker walls.
It might be because fully transparent bricks just look nicer without the internal lines…

For now, this makes the one with cross supports the rarer of the two and I am glad I got one for my collection.
But not without first getting a big scare😁
