 Ho scattato questa fotografia la scorsa estate, durante una salita in solitaria verso la cima della Bisalta. Non certo un'impresa alpinistica, intendiamoci, solo una piacevole mezza giornata di trekking.
Il giorno dopo, riguardando gli scatti, l'ho scartata. Probabilmente per quella macchia informe di luce creata dal sole.
Adesso però che quelle montagne sono ricoperte di neve, dunque praticabili solo con sci o racchette, la voglia di rimettermi sui sentieri e  il ricordo di quell'alba spettacolare mi hanno spinto ad andare a riprendere le fotografie di quel mattino.
Ed eccola saltare fuori con forza. Ora non mi sembra più così male, anzi, mi fa tornare ancora più forte la voglia di salire su per i monti con macchina fotografica e cavalletto nello zaino. E intanto aspetto che la neve si sciolga...

 I took this photo last summer, during a solo ascent to the top of mount Bisalta. Not a real climbing challenge, but just a pleasant half-day of hiking. The next day, processing the shots, I discarded it. Probably for that shapeless spot of light created by the sun. But now that those mountains are covered with snow, therefore practicable only with skis or snowshoes, the desire to get back on the trails and the memory of that amazing sunrise prompted me to go and browse the pictures of that morning. And here it jumped out. Now it does not seem so bad. It gives me an even stronger desire to climb up those mountains with my camera and tripod in the backpack. In the meanwhile, I wait for the snow to melt ...
