Maroon Bells 4067-69 - a photo on Flickriver

            I thought this was really hard to shoot - lots of photographers lined up along the shore, the obvious difficulty with the huge range of shadows to highlights, plus my own issues with my graduated filter holder and manipulating it with gloves because it was freezing at sunup. Worth the effort but I would have appreciated maybe another crack at it. Not to be on that trip - it stormed that night and surprised us in our little campground so we headed for cover and a warm motel room.
