Bells of Mt. Baldy Road 3484 - a photo on Flickriver

            This is one of my all-time favorite flower close-ups for the soft overcast light and the depth of field balance between sharp flower and out-of-focus background. Something I teach in my classes - depth of field depends on the proximity to your subject as well as the f-stop of the lens, and to some extent the lens focal length. This one - 100mm macro @F14, on a tripod, 1/30 sec.
