The Duel 4726

            The fishing lakes are stocked weekly at this big regional park. No fishermen allowed on stocking day, but no one told this Great Egret. In fact, the several times I hung around for the main event (hoping a Bald Eagle would show), there was a Great Egret and a Great Blue Heron waiting. They know. They get pretty darned close to the spot where the food truck dumps and they make their snatch in seconds. The trout fought hard here but the egret won in the end.
