Memories of the Queen! - a photo on Flickriver

            Malaika the world famous Cheetah of the Maasai Mara disappeared in March, 2018 leaving her two sons, Dogo and Kigumba, to fend for themselves on the wild savannah plains of East Africa. 
Malaika has been the Queen of countless visitors to the Maasai Mara as she wasn't shy of humans and would at times jump onto the roof of some safari vehicles. She was a very successful mother having raised five cubs from various litters who are now roaming in the savannah plains of Maasai Mara.  

Photographed on 24/09/2016, during a early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.
