Church leaders and Ecumenical guests gather at Augusta Victoria Hospital

            21 January 2023, Jerusalem, Palestine: Church leaders and ecumenical partners from around the world gather for a moment of prayer at the Ascension Church of the Augusta Victoria Hospital compound on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. The prayer was celebrated on the eve of the ordination of Sally Azar – also in attendance – who is set to be the first Palestinian woman to be ordained as a pastor, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land on 22 January 2023, an event for which hundreds of international guests have travelled to Jerusalem to witness.
