202109 LWF Kenya - Elliyes Primary School 02

            September 2021. Elliyes Primary School is one of the 21 primary schools of Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya. The school is part of a project funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) of the US Government to increase access to inclusive quality education for children in Kakuma. In 2020-2021, LWF World Service supported the construction of school units (12 classrooms in total), installed handwashing bassins, provided desks, textbooks and learning materials, and storage facilities. Incentive staff and teachers were also recruited and trained. In 2020, Elliyes Primary School received the prize of the Most Improved School in Kakuma Refugee Camp from the Sub-County Director of Education and LWF. Photo: LWF/L. Gillabert
