Scarborough North Yorkshire 12th August 2011

            The fine Victorian trainshed of the original North Eastern Railway station has been spruced up & platforms 3 to 5 still see regular services. Here a First Trans-Pennine service made up of Class 185 dmu 185107 is seen leaving the station.

Along with all the other stations on the York & Scarborough Railway this was designed by G. T. Andrews and opened in 1845.

Look carefully and the stock of the Scarborough Flyer with 70013 Oliver Cromwell at the head can be seen outside the trainshed in platform 1.
