Meissen Saxony Germany 18th April 2023

            A visit to the Meissen porcelain factory and museum. Amongst the many impressive items on display was this pair; Apollo  and Daphne. 

It looks like a scene of sexual harassment to me but apparently it depicts a Greek myth. Although reading about the myth it still looks like sexual harassment! To escape Apollo's clutches Daphne turns herself into a laurel tree, hence the leaves appearing on her body in this scene.
