            Northern Class 150 diesel multiple unit 150275 speeds non-stop through Thorne North station with 1W40 the 10.25 Sheffield to Scarborough service.

North Eastern Railway bridge 31 dates from the opening of this railway line between Thorne Junction on the ex-Great Central/MSLR route to Grimsby & Staddlethorpe Junction north of Goole in 1869.

Interestingly today, despite the cast-iron numberplate still being in situ, Network Rail have the bridge as number 4. The original number reflects its NER origins and was measured from Staddlethorpe while NR number the structures from Thorne Junction.
