Peanut Roll with Ice Cream - a photo on Flickriver

            Once we arrived to LuoDong Night Market, the first thing we had to try is definitely the peanut roll with ice cream (花生捲冰淇淋). It is a popular night market food in Taiwan and this local snack is first invented by people in Yilan.

Making peanut roll with ice cream is pretty simple. First, the food vendor will grind the block of sugar glazed peanut into powder. Then it will be placed on a wrapper. Then the vendor puts two to three scoops of ice-cream along with handful of cilantro. 

This combination sounds a bit weird but the taste and texture are awesome. This is by far one of our favorites as it taste both sweet and salty at the same time. :)
