Crompton Clay Trip - a photo on Flickriver

Crompton Clay Trip

            A May 1987 image of BR 33003, recorded near Dawlish station with the 10:25 Exeter Riverside to Heathfield Speedlink trip. At the rear of the consist was a Tiger PBA to be loaded at ECC Ballclays Ltd. Heathfield and the PGA wagon behind the locomotive would be delivered to Newton Abbot on the return leg of the trip for loading with ball clay. A re-organisation of the Speedlink Network operations in October 1987 would include changes whereby this Heathfield Speedlink feeder would operate from Tavistock Junction.
