Two Halves, Mom's birthday. - a photo on Flickriver

            Cape Flattery, Wa. The first time I met my Mom she was working as a translator for the Red Cross in Austria after WW2. She was Dutch and spoke a half dozen languages. I can still remember when she studied to become a US citizen in the early 50's in southern Virginia and  still remember most of the answers… Been gone since '84 when we scattered her ashes here, one of her favorite spots outside the Netherlands. My brother Mike and I came to pay our respects...
