Brilliant Tree - Canaan Valley, WV - a photo on Flickriver

            Yesterday, Adam and I took a quick trip over to Canaan Valley, WV.  While most of West Virginia is still a couple weeks from peak foliage color, Canaan Valley is way ahead of the game.  The color was nothing short of brilliant.  One of the things that makes the area's foliage so pretty is the mix of evergreens and hardwoods.  There is always a beautiful blend of reds, oranges, yellows, plums and greens.
