Baltimore Oriole Moments... - a photo on Flickriver

            While I was at the computer yesterday afternoon I noticed a baltimore oriole had landed at the hummingbird feeder which is not unusual for them to do being nectar feeders for the most part. It took some quick sips and then went to the bird bath and ate a few bugs that were in the water. Then to my surprise it proceeded to take a bath and it seemed to enjoy it just as much as the robins do . The next thing I know it lands on the window sill just outside of where I sit on my computer and kept looking in the window at me (now to close to focus at all) … then he went and ate more bugs on the ground, then off to the grape jelly...what a great couple minutes...sometimes the photography is not just about the quality but is about the special moments that one experiences when nature presents itself even in your own backyard! All the images were shot through our picture window...
