            Bronze Statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin in front of the Otctyabrskaya Metro Station, Moscow. The area was earlier known as Kaluzhskaya Square and was a market place for cattle. Some of the streets still retain their names from the cattle-trading days. The Mytnaya street was a place for collecting tax from cattle trade and the Karovi Val, another street literally means Cow Street. 
The imposing bronze statue created by Kerbel and Fedotov in 1985 is one of the last such creations of the Soviet Era. It stands between the largest children’s library and the delicate, small chapel and looms against modern buildings including the Interior Ministry Building, which was built on the plot of a church as are many other buildings in the area. . At the base of the statue one can see proletariats and soldiers heartily cheering the great leader.
