FAC 151 (TFRP No. 19) - a photo on Flickriver

            The Festival of the Tenth Summer was a music and art festival that took place in Manchester in July 1986. The festival was organised by Factory Records to 'celebrate Manchester' with reference to the first performance by the Sex Pistols at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in Manchester on 4 June 1976 (that was the gig that Wilson, Gretton, Buzzcocks, Mark E Smith, Morrissey, Joy Division and even Mick Hucknall were all at).

It consisted of 10 events, culminating in an all day music festival at the Greater Manchester Exhibition Centre on 19 July 1986. The festival was inevitably given a Factory Records catalogue number, FAC 151.

This item, THE MAP was among the items issued to commemorate the festival. The map was A5 folding out into A3, and was a promotional black and white flyer with full listing of the events. This map shows the location of the various events around Manchester.
