Band in the middle of nowhere - a photo on Flickriver

            During our first trip to Huajuapan in 2009 for KOC we were invited to a wake for a very old lady who had passed away in a sleepy little town deep in the mountains. Despite the sadness of the occasion and the obvious poverty of the residents, my 3 daughters and I were treated royally to food, drink and music from the family of the woman. It was surreal to be entertained in such a manner in such a remote part of Mexico
