In one of my recent Fall colour meanders through the area around Vineland, Ontario, I drove to the top of the Niagara Escarpment via Cherry Avenue. Just past the crest, is Megalomaniac Wines, one of a number of wineries in the area. Here you can see the rows of grape vines in their vineyard, sporting Fall colours and, at the end of the initial piece of entranceway paving, a One Way sign. I used a long lense to compress the perspective and emphasize the rows. And after the shot, and in a daring act of civil disobedience, I turned the car around and left the way I came in, completely ignoring the One Way sign. Guess I am turning into a real bad boy. - JW

Taken using a hand-held Nikon D800 fitted with an Tamron 100-400mm 1:4.5-6.3 DI VC USD lense set to 350mm, ISO500 (Auto ISO), Daylight WB, Matrix metering, Shutter Priority Mode, f/6.3 (wide open), 1/1000 sec. PP in free Open Source GIMP from SOOC JPEG file: scale image to 9000 px wide, crop to panorama format , apply Tone Mapping at default levels, darken the image slightly by setting overall Exposure Compensation to EV-0.14, use the Graduated Neutral Density/GND tool to darken foreground (road), very slightly boost Contrast and Chromaticity in L-A-B mode, slightly boost Vibrance, sharpen slightly (edges only), save. PP in free Open Source GIMP: use the Curves tool to slightly brighten the mid-tones, very slightly increase contrast, slightly sharpen, save, add fine black-and-white frame, add bar and text on bottom, save, scale image to 4200 px wide for posting online, sharpen very slightly, save.
